Bastien - Cottage Roasters

Our Home Blend as a tribute to the first long-time mayor of Gersthof. A very balanced espresso that is also excellent with milk. The espresso roast of the Brazilian and the Guatemalan give it its full-bodied chocolate and toffee flavors. Nougat and kumquat notes bring in the Costa Rican. A smooth body and long finish round out this blend.

Growth Height

Our coffee beans like it airy and with a beautiful view. They thrive particularly well in the highlands of Latin America. Bastien feels best at 1300-1800m above sea level.

Bean Type

At Cottage Rosters, only Arabica beans are roasted. This ensures a high flavor variety with extremely fine flavors – from slightly sweet to fruity to powerfully spicy and chocolaty.

Bastien comes from growing areas in Brazil, Costa Rica and Guatemala

Processing

Brazil Pulped Natural. Here the coffee cherries are squeezed and then sun-dried. Costa Rica and Gutaemala Washed, which is a washed preparation of the beans. Then roasted as a Signature Blend.

Farm/Coopeartive

For Bastien, we source our beans from Fazenda Recreio, Finca Gascon and Farms from Naranjo. They are transported in airtight “Specialty Coffee” bags up to a maximum of 60 kilograms. Bulk beans from loose containers are a no-go for us.
